Harrow is situated 44 miles South West of Stanstead airport. This journey normally takes 1 hour and 10 minutes, this depends graetly on the London traffic, which can be a law unto itself.

Harrow is a very affluent area of London, situated to the very North West of the capital. It has a very diverse population, with a large Indian population. The population figures stabnd at 214,600, with 55% listed as black or of minority ethnicity. New regeneration of the high streets and local shopping streets has brought jobs and properity to the area. Hertfordshire lies to the North of the Borough, and Ealing is to the South. Although it is only 8 miles out from Central London, Harrow has many parks and green belt areas. Local Parks inclde; Bentley Priory, Canons Park and Stanmore Common.

Harrow has many Victorian winding streets and market areas, as well as one of the last remaining Saxon churches in the UK, in St Mary's Church. Harrow owes much of its prosperity to its various schools, including: Harrow School, John Lyon School for Boys and North London Colligiate for Girls.

Other local attractions not to be missed are; Harrow-on-the-hill village, Pinnear Village, St John the Evangelists Church, Harrow Museaum and Heritage Centre.

Past residents and members of the local schools include; Peter Andre (Singer and jungle explorer), James Blunt (Singer and ex-army officer), Lord Byron, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Elton John, Patrick Moore (Astronamer and keen gamer), Theo Walcott (footballer) and pop group Scouting For Girls.
