Sarajevo Airport Transfers

Sarajevo Airport Taxi service is provided by Onward Travel Solutions Ltd. By banding together with A2B transfers we are now able to provide transfers for you to and from Sarajevo Airport to most local resorts, towns and cities.

The page that follows will show a list of all possible transfers and prices. Simply select your destination and the type of vehicle you would like to book and click on the button at the bottom. This will take you through to the booking page with A2B Travel. Enter your contact details, and the details of your transfer. Read the terms and conditions and click to accept them. You will then be taken through to a secure payment site to pay for your booking.

Just like an OTS transfer, you will be sent an electronic sales receipt containing your driver’s number and all of your picking up instructions. Once you have landed at your chosen destination, call the number provided and the driver will come to meet you. Then you can sit back and enjoy your holiday in the knowledge that everything is organized for your return.

In the UK, you can choose the type of vehicle you would like, saloon cars, estates and people carriers, to take you to the airport. We can then arrange your onward travel from your destination airport and return. On your return to the UK, you can choose the “meet and greet” option, this is where your driver will come in and collect you from the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, or simply call the driver on the number that has been provided for you to find out where they are waiting! All the information you need will be on the booking form and hopefully this will answer any queries that you may have.

Sarajevo Airport – (SJJ)

Sarajevo International Airport, also known as Butmir Airport, is the main international airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located 6.1 km (3.8 miles) southwest of the railway station in the capital city of Sarajevo in the suburb of Butmir.

Travelling to and from the airport

Getting to/from the airport can be problematic: there is no direct public transportation, and taxi fares to and from the airport are surprisingly expensive for the short distance - your best bet is to take a taxi to the tram terminus at Ilidža and board the tram for the last part of your journey.

Alternatively you can take bus 36 to Nedzarici, the bus stop is located somewhere on the main road outside the airport parking lot. At Nedzarici you can change for a tram to the city center. Bus 36 runs about every 30 minutes.

Climate

Sarajevo is under influence of mid European continental climate from the North, and the Mediterranean from the South. Assortment of these elements, as well as relief diversity, gives the area distinctions of mild continental climate. The coldest month of the year is January when the average temperature is -1.3C and it is the only month with its negative monthly value. The warmest month of the year is July, when the average temperature is 19.1C, although August's average temperature is 18.8C and could often be warmer.

Sarajevo has some good accommodation to offer, hostels, apartments and hotels. All ranging in price, from cheap to luxury.
